Wayne's Web page
Thank you for taking the time to view my web site.
As early as grade school in Pittsburgh, I found myself continually drawing or doodling. I didn't know at the time I would become an artist.
My home was always filled with music as my family were professional musicians. I settled in with Tenor Sax and that became my passion, but still experimenting in art.
College led me towards the engineering field, later turning to imported sales. This enabled me to continue art courses at colleges and studying with professional artists.
My oil paintings can be loose and painterly while creating a realistic image. I am passionate about my art and try to make each and every painting my best.
My ocean scenes illustrate the sea's active movements while the tranquility of serene landscapes captures my interest - I enjoy the direct connection with nature.
My still life paintings are carefulluy arranged in my studio and I work to capture the image of three dimensional objects. My use of light and color, along with a variety od shapes and textures draws attention to the familiar subjects, bringing those images to life on canvas.
As well as in private collections, my award winning paintings have been displayed at numerous galleries, such as Guggenheim Gallery,,Art-A-Fair, Irvine Fine Art Center, Orange County Fair, etc.
I instill my ideas with full emotion in each and every painting, and hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy painting them.
